Also Known as Senile warts. A benign skin condition that appears as a waxy brown, black or tan growth. It is one of the most common non cancenrous skin growth in older adults. It is frequently seen as a multiple growths on face, upper back, hands, chest, shoulder, with advancing age it increases in number. It has waxy, scaly & slightly elevated appearance.

Although benign, but in some cases causes irritation & cosmetic concern to the person.

Treatment :

Consists of intervertion like

Light electrofulguration : by doing light elctrofulguration. It can be removed without scar and chances of recurrence is less.

CO2 laser ablation : highly effective in removing seborrheic keratosis without any residual mark.

Cryosugery : using liquid nitrogen can be done for treatment of DPN.

Currettage : scrapping of skin followed by light electrofulguration or CO2 laser ablation to prevent recurrence.
